A huge THANK YOU on behalf of PENISTONE SCOUT GROUP to ‘Blackstone Edge Wind Farm Community Benefits Fund’ for the award of a grant, which will enable to the group to purchase kayaks, wetsuits, paddles, flotation aids, helmets, a kayak trailer and an equipment storage trailer which will allow us to provide regular water activities for ALL members of the group.
This is part of an ongoing project, the first phase of which has seen us train and accredit leaders, in the group to provide adventurous activities, safely to our members, this included caving, climbing, archery, air rifles and kayaking.
The second phase of the project is to purchase the equipment to allow us to provide the activities on a regular basis for all sections, this grant is just one of the successful grant applications to allow us to do this.
