Scout Fest is South Yorkshire Scouts Virtual County Camp. Due to current restrictions, we are unable to camp as we normally would like. This means we are going to host our first ever County-wide Virtual Camp Live from Hesley Wood Scout Camp.

Activities over the weekend will aim towards all sections completing parts of their Chief Scout Awards as well as plenty of Virtual Activities, Events and Games.

The event is open to Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Adult volunteers. It will be hosted and streamed at Scoutfest.SYScouts.org.uk over the weekend of 3-4 July. With lots of scheduled content that have been tailored to each youth age group, there’ll be plenty to enjoy and take part in over the weekend.

It’s up to you if you camp in your lounge, dining room, garden or if you mix up your bedroom and sleep on the floor. You can join for some or all of the sessions. It’s entirely up to you. 

If you sign up for this event, we will make sure (ahead of the event) you know what equipment or items you might need to take part. We will also share as much detail about the schedule, and how we’d love to see how you’re taking part. 

Several of the Penistone Scouts’ leader team are involved in the planning and running of this South Yorkshire County event, so you might even see a few of us on-screen or responding to social media.
