You may remember some time ago we posted about installing little libraries around Penistone, after a long bid process we managed to secure enough money to build and locate two libraries in Penistone.
The libraries will be filled with books and maintained by the scout group in two locations, you will be able to visit them, take a book and hopefully replace it with another. The locations will also form a pleasant local walk taking in some of the Penistone scenery, its our hope that a visit to both libraries will form a regular afternoon stroll for families with the chance to sit down and read a book at the end.
Currently they are under construction, however I have been sent a sneak preview which I want to share with you. Local craftsman Clive Leacock of Lovewood Furniture has built the libraries and they are being painted by local artist and illustrator Gillian Tyler.
