Penistone Scouts’ World Scout Jamboree 2019 contingent are offering a Christmas tree collection and disposal service in the New Year. The trees would be taken away and put through the chipper in conjunction with Springvale Gardens to be used for maintaining pathways and planting areas around the site.
We would ask for a minimum donation of £5 per tree collected and will be doing our collection from 9am on Sunday 6th January covering the following areas: Penistone, Cubley, Millhouse Green, Thurlstone, Thurgoland, Oxspring, Green Moor, Hoylandswaine and Ingbirchworth. We can cover some other areas, please inquire with your specifics.
To request a collection, we’ll need to collate some information from you; we will only keep this information until the collections are completed.
How to request a collection
- Complete the below form, and tell us how you’d like to pay. PayPal, in advance, would be preferential for us; however, we can also take cash on collection.
- If you wish to pay online (with PayPal) please use the donation button at the bottom of this page.
- In early January, we will confirm your collection and provide additional information via the email address you’ve supplied us with.

Hi – I just missed the deadline!
Could I possibly still have my tree collected at all please? please?!
Hi Debbie – We have been advertising and taking bookings via our website since late November so only called at scheduled addresses today. Please look out for us again next year around Christmas time. We won’t be able to collect your tree this season.
