Engima scouts – Brunt’s Barn Expedition

Seven scouts from our Monday troop are completing their Expedition Challenge badge this weekend.

This, beyond the combined milestone badge of Chief Scouts Gold award, is the hardest badge to achieve in the scout section.

The scouts are very fortunate to be able to volunteer with Peak Park Rangers, staying at their Brunt’s Barn Facility in Grindleford.

So far, they’ve been:

• Pond dipping
• Butterfly surveying @ Padley Gorge
• Training for camp cooking (Cook off between Team Tikka, Team Fajita and Team Korma)
• An evening stroll through the woods with a spot of paddling in Padley Gorge

Tomorrow will bring more activities before they make their way home, via train, once more.
