So,  today brought a very cold start, one which the leaders were feeling the most whilst the cubs were feeling that a t-shirt would suffice!

We split into two groups, santa visit in the morning,  and santa visit in the afternoon.

The NCM Museum had truly decked the halls of the mine with lights, a grotto and the one and only santa!

After a look around the centre and a walk around both collieries including the nature walk, we headed back to the hut. On the way back it began to snow and by the time we were back there was a decent cover on the ground!

After an afternoon of games and warming up,  we experienced the one and only Amy’s cooking, who just last year burnt the top of an apple strudel whilst the underside was still frozen! Thankfully this year’s attempt was much nicer. Enjoyed by all as well as the home made treacle sponge.

A day of crafts is coming upon us – just hours to go!

Here’s to a good night’s sleep!
