Here’s what our Scouts got up to on the weekend of the 1st of December… It was certainly a fun-filled weekend!

Friday

We spent the evening navigating our very own “Escape Room”, and played board games, cards and other fun indoor activities. The best part? Nachos for supper!

Saturday

We enjoyed some bacon butties and made our own lunches. We then hopped on the minibus to volunteer with the Peak Park Conservation Trust alongside one of their Rangers, Rob. Back to Penistone we went and enjoyed the Christmas Lights Switch On and Tractor Run. Finally, back to the hut for Brian’s homemade lasagne and chilled out before a much-needed early bedtime of 10pm to help us recover from the day’s activities.

Penistone Christmas Lights Switch on and Tractor Run 2023

We were honoured to have been instructed by Penistone’s Town Council to film this year’s Christmas Lights Switch on Event which this year, was combined with the traditional Tractor Run. It was a fantastic day and there was a great turnout despite the cold!

Sunday

On Sunday, we went to York and enjoyed a sing-along on the minibus, York Dungeons, Christmas shopping at the markets, a spooky ghost walk and then headed back home.

What’s the best way to pass the time while on a long bus ride? Singing, of course!
