Rewind: Edition 6 – the week, recapped, plus bonus materials

Each Sunday, we take a look back over our week of Scouting. Recapping and linking back to posts of the week. Alongside this, we’ll share some additional content that didn’t necessarily make it in the initial cut; we'll usually supplement important info for the coming week too.

This week:

Christmas Newsletter

Essential reading for everyone – a fabulous section by section update of both the year our Group has had, as well as plans for 2018.

Harry Potter Studio Tour

Viernes headed off to Watford to visit Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour.

Elf Academy

All of our Beaver colonies had a festive weekend taking part in the Elf Academy.

Santa’s video here, then pictures here, then here and here

Was lovely to receive so many messages like these:

Millstones got Christmas creative

Don’t look too closely at the following pictures – our Millstone Beavers have been making gifts.

Enigma went to Laser Tag

A Christmas treat for the Enigma (Monday) Scouts. Shauna and Rob took them to Laser Tag in Huddersfield.

Viernes cooked pizza in dustbin ovens

Simple, but dead effective; we used charcoal, dustbins and some cut down grills to create ovens our Friday Scouts were able to cook pizza and wedges within.

Reminders:

Beaver meetings – We have a joint Beaver meeting for all colonies on Wednesday 19th December, (18:30 to 19:45) at the Scout Hut. It’s a Christmas Party so festive dress please, e.g. Christmas jumpers and accessories – no uniform required. This does mean that on Tuesday and Friday there won’t be a Beaver meeting.

Lost property – It’s the time of year where we, once again, try to reunite the remaining lost property with their rightful owners. Please take a look at this Facebook post for details. Anything remaining after Christmas will go to charity.

Viernes Scouts – Friday night is party night. Friday Scouts chose to have a party between 19:00 and 22:00 with a “posh” theme; so, please dress to impress!
